Child Care Officer

The Northern Grampians Shire is a thriving Shire located in Western Victoria and includes the magnificent Grampians National Park.

The Shire has major towns of Stawell and St Arnaud and the smaller centres of Halls Gap, Great Western, Marnoo, Glenorchy and Navarre.

The Northern Grampians Shire Council is looking to fill the existing position of Full time Qualified Child Care Officer, reporting to and working with the Coordinator of Childrens services.

This position will deliver:

1. Planning implementation and evaluation of programs in relation to child care.
2. The various activities and daily routines of the children in their care.
3. Supervision of trained and untrained staff and assist students on placement.
4. The health, safety, medical and hygiene requirements for children.
5. A co-operative approach with other staff, the Community and organisation.

This position is classified as a Band 4 under the Victorian Local Authorities Award 2001 attracting an annual salary of $43, 824.
