Awabakal Pre-School is currently recruiting a team leader for its mobile Pre-School.

The position is for 2.4 days each week.

Essential Criteria:

• Appropriate qualifications in Early Childhood, minimum diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in planning, implementation and evaluation of programs appropriate to the 3-5 age group.
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Ability to work as a team, sharing responsibilities for quality education with childcare workers and other support staff.
• Knowledge of the Department of Community Services regulations
• An understanding of Aboriginal culture and the factors that impact on Aboriginal Education
• Commitment to Aboriginal Early Childhood
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

• Aboriginality
• Previous experience working with Aboriginal children.
• Experience leading a small team
• Ability to obtain an authorized supervisors number
