CHILDREN'S SERVICES – Where Early Learners Grow

Our Childcare Centres operate with better than minimum staffing ratios across all age groups.

The centre is a purpose built 2 room 30 place centre.

We have a ratio of 1:4 in the 0-2 year old room and 1:5 in the 2-4 year old room, with a centre float to provide additional assistance.

Staff include 2 TAFE Diploma staff and a Director with Early Childhood Degree plus 5 Child Care Assistants, a cook and admin staff.

This position is in addition to the current staffing levels.

All staff involved in developing and implementing the programme are provided with off the floor programming time each week.

Operating hours are 7:45am – 5:45 pm.

This position is accountable for planning, programming and implementing a caring learning environment for the children and for ensuring their needs are adequately met.

All child care staff assist in the day to day operation of the service.

New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• Must hold Early Childhood university qualification with under 2s component
• Centre based child care experience.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and implement a programme.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Child Development.
• Knowledge of age appropriate activities for children.
• Knowledge of behaviour management.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with children, parents, staff.
